Media: Carbon dust, Adobe Illustrator.
Audience: Undergraduate students.
Objective: Render an illustration of the human skull that is anatomically-correct, using a cast human skull model as primary reference; label the major structures.
Anatomical atlases were used to cross-reference locations of sutures and foramena.
Completed in February, 2017.
This illustration was made from observing a cast skull. I set up the skull with upper left-hand light, with an acetate grid in front. This sketch was made on a corresponding paper grid and transferred to a cold-pressed artboard.
